LAPIERRE Products

Where can I buy a Lapierre bike ?

No we do not sell direct from the factory. All sales are via our network of approved retailers.

As we offer no direct sales we cannot offer discounts. Only Lapierre retailers are able to decide whether or not to offer a discount.

We want to warn our customers about websites not at all linked to our company or to our official retailers, where large discounts are offered on Lapierre bikes, sometimes even using the identity of our retailers.

The clients of some of these sites have flagged up fraudulent activity, declaring to have not received their Lapierre bikes following payment by bank transfer.

We recommend you be extremely careful, that you check the list of our official retailers on the site www.cycles-lapierre.fr, and to be cautious of adverts appearing over generous, and of domain names using unusual geographic extensions, and to avoid international fund transfers and bank transfers. These types of payment are normal for online purchases.

If you are a victim of this type of fraud, you should inform your local dealer asap, as well as signaling the fraud on the official government website against internet fraud in your country.

Frame only

Several models are available in a frame kit, please check with your distributor or your local Lapierre dealer.

Customized Bikes

We are not able to manufacture unique bikes coming from a specific request.

For passionate riders we created the Ultimate programme, allowing you to build the bike of your dreams. You choose your frame, wheels, group set, and other parts (saddle, handlebars, stem…) for a bike 100% personalized and adapted to your riding and body type.

To choose your bike go to : http://www.ultimate.lapierrebikes.com

What size Lapierre bike do I need ?

You’ll find the table of sizes on each bike's page, under "Choose your size".

Please note that this information is merely a guideline and you should visit your local Lapierre dealer for advice, taking into account your body type (leg measurement, arm length, etc.) and your riding style.

If you are between two sizes, you should visit your dealer and test the two sizes in the shop.

Purchase and Delivery

Your local dealer will give you a user manual and a light kit. If you have not received these please request them from the dealer.

The waiting time can vary depending on the model chosen, the size and the availability of the bike in the shop. Some shops keep most models in stock, enabling the bike to be available immediately, if not they will inform you of the delay – depending on the outstanding orders of each shop.

Lapierre After Sales Service

Warranty

From 2009 to the present day the warranty is five years for the frame (except for the Dirt, DH & Froggy : 2 years), two years for the parts, one year for the paint and artwork.

For 2008 and previous, the warranty is two years for full suspension frames and five years on rigid frames, two years on parts and one year for paint and artwork.

The warranty is only valid for the initial purchaser, and is not valid if the bike is used in competitions.

Unfortunately, our bikes are only warrantied for the initial purchaser. When you buy a second-hand model you should ask the owner for details of transport, storage, care, and any changes made to the bike.

You can visit any Lapierre dealer, taking with you your receipt of purchase.

All Lapierre dealers can deal with a warranty request. However, they may charge you for delivery costs and workshop time.

This guarantees a part, so that it is replaced free of charge with an equivalent or superior part. Your dealer may, however, bill you for postage costs and the costs of replacing the part.

As specified in our warranty conditions, certain manufacturers manage their own After Sales Service. Therefore the warranty request will not pass via Lapierre. This is in order to address the problem by an experienced team, with an extensive knowledge of the product, the possible problems and the possible solutions.

These After Sales Services are completely independent of Lapierre and we cannot intervene in any cases that have been entrusted to them.

No. Your dealer is always our intermediary in the case of a technical problem. Any parcel delivered directly by the consumer will be refused.

You must firstly note the problem with your dealer (taking your receipt of purchase).

The dealer will do a diagnostic check, and send the part to the correct manufacturer (if it’s a part from Shimano, Fox…) or to Lapierre, if the problem is with a Lapierre product.

On reception the Lapierre After Sales Service will investigate and propose a solution via your dealer.

Paintwork

Unfortunately, we are not able to repaint frames. We advise you to contact a painter or body-work specialist in your area.

We use Asian standards that do not have an equivalent in Europe. The best solution is to approach a painter or body-work specialist to determine the colour that best matches that of your model.

Stickers are produced solely for production and are not available after sales.

Yes. Depending on the process used, this can cause weaknesses to the frame. In the case of a problem the Lapierre After Sales Service reserves the right to refuse the warranty on a bike that has been repainted.

You can get hold of promotional stickers by sending a stamped addressed envelope to

Cycles Lapierre, BP 50573, 21005 Dijon Cedex.

Please note that we do not have any decals to replace those originally on a bike following a repaint.

For confidentiality reasons, our factory is closed to the public. Therefore, unfortunately, we cannot organize visits, even for groups.

We do have a showroom. However, it is only open to Lapierre retailers and on appointment. Please note it is not open to consumers.
